day after day I travel to work by bus. It's not too easy to sketch on it: often crowded, moving, shaking and of course your favourite models getting off just after you started to draw them. But on the other hand a fun occasion for quick sketches even on days with a full agenda.

Schaffhausen sketchcrawl 02/12/2012

Please join us for a sketchcrawl in the charming old town of Schaffhausen on Sunday, December 2nd!

We'll meet at around 11am at the entrance to the train station (from where you have the above view) and sketch old Schaffhausen, either together or individually, then meet up at an end point to look at each other’s sketchbooks.

It is bound to be cold, but with a bit of Glühwein at the Chlaus Märkt or a hot chocolate at one of the little cafes we'll keep warm and merry. All you need is something to draw with and something to draw on! And some mittens. 

If you stay long enough, you'll get to see the beautiful Christmas lights hanging between the old town houses like stars in the sky!

Sketching at the Go tournament

I've been wanting to sketch at a Go tournament for quite some time now. I got my chance at todays annual Winterthur Go Tournamnet. Being a former player myself, it was great to see some faces "from back in the day" at the event.

It was great fun, even though I have to admit that I didn't get as much sketching done as expected since everyone wanted to play.

World Sketching 2

As I was very busy yesterday, I met Luis later in the evening and we had a beer, a nice chat and we were darwing portraits of each other. Great project, keep it up!

World Sketching

I met up with World Sketcher Luis yesterday on his way through Zürich.  It was very interesting sketching and talking with him about his travels.  He will travel and sketch about it for another 4 1/2 years.  What an amazing thing to do!

He added me to his great collection of Urban Sketchers he's met along the way:

And here's the sketch I did from the Lindenhof.  We were very luck with the weather.  It isn't often you see the mountains from Zürich!  Very cool!

Winterthur Sketchcrawl

We went on a sketchcrawl today. It was fantastic but after 5 hours you do get a little tired, so this post will be short. Enjoy the pictures!
